Gretna Elementary has a long tradition of excellence in the Gretna Community; the staff feels very fortunate to be able to continue this rich tradition. We are comprised of approximately 520 students preschool through 5th Grade. Students at Gretna Elementary have the opportunity to participate in a variety of clubs, activities and programs, all aligned with our mission to " accept all students unconditionally and maximize their potential ". As a staff we recognize students have a wide variety of gifts and talents, our job is to develop those talents in an environment where students are challenged and encouraged to try new things, take risks and develop a love of learning.
